Expressways Maps

There are three maps published by NZTA showing the MacKays to Peka Peka Expressway and the Peka Peka to Ōtaki Expressway alignments.  These maps can be viewed online.

• Sandhills Expressway - MacKays Crossing to Peka Peka (PDF, 1 page, 1Mb)
• Northern Expressway - Peka Peka to Te Horo (PDF, 1 page, 654Kb)
• Northern Expressway - Te Horo to Ōtaki (PDF, 1 page, 683Kb)

These maps are not detailed, anyone concerned they may be affected by the chosen alignments should contact NZTA directly on 04 894 5200.

During the latter half of 2009 NZTA consulted on two options for MacKay's Crossing to Peka Peka, however these options will not proceed.  The maps are included here for reference only.

• Expressway option - Avoids Waikanae Town Centre (PDF, 1 page, 1Mb)

Additional Maps

During NZTA's consultation period the Council took advice on the potential affects and impacts of the Expressway options.  Council's engineering advisor (Beca) drafted a number of maps and plans which sought to provide more detail on what the Expressway alignment and intersections might look like.  View additional maps and associated reports here.
