Sustainable Home and Garden Show

A BIG thank you to the 6000 visitors who attended the Sustainable Home and Garden Show over the weekend.

The Käpiti Coast District Council is at the forefront of the sustainability challenge, as recognised by our win at the 2011 Green Ribbon Awards.  This show is our signature event and has grown to become the premier sustainability-oriented annual event in the lower North Island.

‘Building Sustainable Communities’ is the main theme in 2012 – we want to encourage people to make links with their neighbours to build stronger, more resilient communities. Through co-operation, sharing and socialising with others in our neighbourhood, we can enrich our lives and be ready to meet the challenges that come our way, whether they are environmental, economic or natural disasters.
